Privacy Policy
Last updated September 20, 2026
This policy explains what personal data Daveed Fit collects when you use daveedfit.org, why it is collected, and what control you have over it. It is written to be specific about this site rather than generic.
Who is responsible for your data
[Your registered business name], operating as Daveed Fit (David), is the data controller. You can reach us at info@daveedfit.org or by post at [Business address, city, postcode, country].
What we collect
Coaching applications and enquiries
When you submit the form on the coaching or contact pages, we store the information you type: your name, email address, the program you are interested in, your main goal, your training experience, and the message you write. We also record the date and time of submission.
We use this solely to reply to you and to discuss coaching. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to any marketing list from this form.
Analytics
Analytics is currently switched off on this site. No analytics scripts are loaded and no analytics cookies are set for anyone.
Things we do not collect
- Payment details. Purchases are completed on Shopify, not here. Card data never reaches this site.
- Health records. Anything you choose to tell us about your training or health in the form message is up to you — please do not send medical records or sensitive health details through a web form.
- Accounts. There is no visitor sign-up, so there are no visitor passwords or profiles.
Cookies and local storage
| What | Purpose | Set when |
|---|---|---|
daveedfit_cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie choice. Local storage, not a cookie, and never sent to a server. | You choose Accept or Decline |
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics — distinguishes visitors and sessions | Only after you click Accept |
daveedfit_admin | Signs in the site owner to the admin dashboard | Only for the site owner |
You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. Declining also deletes any Google Analytics cookies already stored in your browser.
Why we are allowed to use it
- Your consent — for analytics cookies. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it.
- Steps before entering a contract — for handling your coaching application and replying to you.
- Legitimate interests — for keeping the site secure and functioning, including basic server logs and spam protection on the form.
Who else processes it
We do not sell your data. It is handled by a small number of service providers acting on our instructions:
- Vercel — hosts the website and keeps short-lived server logs.
- Neon — provides the database where applications are stored.
- Google — provides Analytics, only where you have consented.
- Shopify — handles purchases. Once you click through to buy a program, Shopify's own privacy policy applies to that transaction.
These providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where your data is transferred outside your own country, it is done under the transfer safeguards those providers maintain, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Coaching applications — kept while we are in contact and for up to 24 months afterwards, then deleted. Ask sooner and we will delete them sooner.
- Analytics data — retained according to the Google Analytics retention setting, at most 14 months.
- Your cookie choice — stays in your browser until you clear it or change it.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop or limit how we use it;
- send it to you or another provider in a portable format.
Email info@daveedfit.org and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EU and you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. You do not have to contact us first, though we would rather you did so we can put it right.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The database sits behind credentials that are not exposed to the browser, and the admin dashboard is password protected and excluded from search engines. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send anything through the form that you would not be comfortable sending by email.
Children
This site and the coaching services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted their details, email us and we will delete them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top will change. Continued use of the site after that means you accept the updated policy. This policy is governed by the law of [Country / state].
